Sharon Fife is a graduate of Grand View University where she received her bachelor’s degree in psychology and master’s degree in organizational leadership. Sharon is incredibly proud to work for Wellmark Blue Cross Blue Shield, where all employees are encouraged to bring their whole self with them to work each day, knowing our members get the best of each of us when we’re appreciated for our differences.

During her 16 years at Wellmark she has filled a variety of Operations and Health Services roles, including customer experience, claims, group administration, training, and leadership. Currently, as Director Operations, Sharon leads customer service teams focused on exemplary member experience.

In addition, Sharon served the Wellmark Inclusion Council as a council member involved with employee engagement and as Chair of the community involvement activities for over six years. In this role, Sharon was responsible for collaborating with community partners around annual sponsorship commitments and coordinating the Wellmark presence and volunteer staff at inclusion-related events in the communities we serve. A Des Moines native, growing up in the Highland Park area, Sharon now resides in Beaverdale with her husband and children.
