Organization: Korean Cultural Center of Iowa
Mission: The mission of the KCC is to bring together Korean and American families, along with individuals from across Iowa for cultural exchange, education, and friendship.
1. To provide opportunities for learning about Korean culture and language for Korean-American children, Korean adoptees and their families, and other interested individuals.
2. To provide opportunities for greater understanding of American culture and the English language for Korean families and individuals now living in the United States.
3. To provide a foundation and support for integrating the Korean culture into the mainstream of American society. History We were founded in 1998 and, through our members and volunteers, have been able to offer great opportunities to enjoy the Korean culture at various local events. In particular is our annual Lunar New Year celebration where participants can learn about the traditions and cuisine of the Korean New Year, as well as enjoy calligraphy, crafts, and games. We also represent Korea at the annual Asian Heritage Festival, CelebrAsian each spring.
