The 3rd Annual Support Local Youth Talent event will be held on August 6th at 6:00pm at Bud's Place, located on the ground floor of Nielsen Hall at Grand View University. The event will showcase the youths and young adults in our communities, and their many talents from singing to poetry. Admission is free.

There is a need to foster student's creativity in the Arts because music and art programs within Des Moines Public Schools suffer the most and have inadequate funds due to budget cuts. Many students, especially underprivileged children and youths, will lack exposure and foundation in the Arts without these programs. If we can't keep the Arts alive within our schools, then we ought to keep them alive within our communities by empowering and providing a space for the talented youths and young adults to express themselves through the Arts.
