In 2011 we were able to:
- Host the largest Asian Heritage Festival in the state of Iowa by drawing 25,000 individuals to experience Asian cultural traditions, food and entertainment.
- Host the Inaugural IowAsia Business Summit which brought together 9 foreign dignitaries, representing 4 prominent Asian countries, 7 Iowa Businesses and 50 key leaders from across the state.
- Share information about Iowa Asian Alliance, our communities and resources available to both businesses and individuals at 7 different community events and festivals throughout the year.
- Connect 30 business leaders from around the community during the 2nd Annual IAA Golf Tournament.
In 2012, we were able to increase our community presence and strengthen the Iowa Asian Alliance through the following:
- Hosting the 10th Annual CelebrAsian Festival which drew over 55,000 participants.
- Connecting with over 750 students and adults through the Educational Outreach Program which offered programs that allowed teachers to easily integrate educational materials about the Asian culture and the impact it has on our community.
- Hosting 3 Chapter Events throughout the year.
- Providing a Job Board on the IAA website as a resources to IAA Members and supporters.
