IAA is a professional business organization established to represent and promote the business, economic and community development of a united Asian American community in Iowa.

How can I support IAA? (top)
You can help support IAA in many ways:
• Join IAA as an Individual or Student member
• Volunteer on IAA committees
• Attend IAA events

How can my company/organization support IAA? (top)
Your company/organization can support IAA in many ways:
• Become a Platinum Partner, Investor, Business Member, or join as a non-profit organization
• Help sponsor or co-host IAA events, workshops, and/or meetings
• Tell us what resources you’d like us to provide to you, your business, or your community.
• Share information, opportunities, resources and services with IAA and its members.

How can I join IAA? (top)
Joining IAA is easy. All you need to do is fill out a simple application, and send it in with the appropriate membership fee.

Do I have to be Asian to join? (top)
No, everyone is welcome! Half of our members are Asian American, and half of our members are other. The more, the merrier!

IAA is a great place to develop connections. Whether it is making new friends or networking with business professionals, you are sure to make lasting relationships. Furthermore, IAA offers various events and occasions that will help you grow both personally and professionally.

How is IAA different from the existing Asian American organizations? (top)
IAA is focused on business and economic development, while supporting existing efforts in cultural areas. IAA has fulltime staff committed to serving the Asian American community as a whole, and has representation for all Asian ethnic groups in Iowa. We are committed to creating partnerships not just among Asian ethnic communities, but with non-Asian businesses, leaders, and resources.

IAA exists for Asians in Iowa, and to promote cultural awareness and understanding in Iowa. Our focus is on events celebrating the collaborative Asian American community.

How has IAA made an impact in Iowa? (top)
Before IAA was established, it was difficult to reach the many different communities in Iowa. Now IAA serves as an umbrella for the various communities throughout Iowa. IAA gives the Asian community a voice and visibility to make Asians an integral part of Iowa.

What are IAA’s notable accomplishments? (top)
IAA has three signature events which include the Annual AdmirAsian Achievement Awards, CelebrAsian (the Annual Asian Heritage Festival), and Asia in the Heartland (an Eastern Iowa signature event).

In addition, IAA publishes the Iowa Asian Resource Directory every two years.

What is CelebrAsian? (top)
CelebrAsian is the Annual Asian Heritage Festival, which celebrates the many diverse Asian communities and heritage thriving in the Iowa community. Over 35,000 people attend the CelebrAsian.

What is the Annual AdmirAsian Achievement Awards? (top)
AdmirAsian recognizes outstanding professional, social, academic, and athletic achievements in the Asian American community. AdmirAsian is an evening of achievement and inspiration that is held on the third week of every October.

What is Asia in the Heartland? (top)
Asia in the Heartland is the IAA Eastern Chapter signature. It is a quarterly series of events highlighting the diverse Asian communities represented in the Eastern Iowa region.

All members receive a complimentary issue of the Asian Resource Directory.

How is IAA funded? (top)
IAA is a grassroots organization sustained by membership dues and donations, IAA events are supported through sponsors and grants.
